Spanky works as a circulation assistant at the library as part of a work study program for undeclared majors. He is very easily influenced by other people and substances and this often leads to misadventure-and irritation for those that have to bail him out!

Speedy is hardly ever seen without Spanky. Someone has to keep him out of trouble, but Speedy tends to be occupied, either by weekly meetings with his own political soapbox, or extracurricular activities. Even though he excels in his political science courses, Speedy is an undeclared major, probably to get his work study job alongside Spanky at the library.

Tiny neither works or takes courses, but always seems to be on campus or at the library.

Violet has always been good with computers. She landed a position as a student assistant at the library's computer lab and quickly developed a reputation as a very formidable and angry force against the problems existing between chair and keyboard.

Hippie works with Violet in the computer lab answering a slew of dumb questions that fuel her webcomic. She may drop out of school to shop it around various conventions. While not as quick tempered as Violet, she is not above tossing a shoe or other things at ex boyfriends or anyone that makes comments about her weight.

Alicia is very wound up. She has known most of the cast since childhood, and often overworks herself to cope with the chaos that ensues. She works at the library, but is part of a work study program for future MLS students in what will be a new graduate program....albeit, a program that keeps getting pushed back.
